As we prepare for this week’s Commencement Exercises, I greet you with a heavy heart. It is difficult for many of us to accept the harsh reality that five mass shootings occurred this past weekend within our nation.

With consideration to current trending data on positive COVID-related cases on campus, locally and statewide, in addition to updated guidance from the CDC and in alignment with Baltimore City and the State of Maryland, the University has made the careful decision to modify some of its COVID-19 protocols on campus. Foremost among the newly adopted modifications is lifting the indoor mask requirement.

On February 17, 2022, Morgan President David Wilson provided testimony to the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security regarding the recent bomb threats made to the nations HBCUs.
